Another series of shots from the Riparian Preserve at Gilbert, AZ. With the arrival of the migrating waterfowl we have seen an increase in the number of pro-photographers that line the banks of the recharge ponds with their 600mm lenses, so getting a prime spot is proving difficult. However, I am getting lots of opportunity to watch and study the professionals at work, gleaning the odd tip where I can. Of course, with more people watching the birds it is easier to catch the action. If I had been on my own I would have missed the Great Blue Heron with fish in my previous post, but my neighbour photographer caught it and his shutter clicking away was the hint that I needed.
